Emkay Tools offers HSS-E (5% cobalt) nib taps and nut taps. These taps are exclusively used for automatic tapping of nuts in high speed nut tapping machines.
Thread forms: metric coarse, metric fine, UNC, UNF, are standard; other thread forms like BSW, BSF, BSP, etc, are against specific orders. The taps are available in range: 3 to 24 mm and 1/8” to 1”.
Coatings: surface coatings like TiN, TiCN, TiALN, etc, are available to suit different work materials and application for cold and hot formed nut blanks, and to improve tool life. Special geometry and flute profiles and therefore match the performance of best international brands.
